As many in the North Shore Bombers community will already know, Tasso Bastas — Adam’s father — passed away recently.
Tasso was a valued member of the Bombers family. He first volunteered as Team Manager for the Under 19 Division 1 side and went on to make a meaningful contribution to the club, including founding and coordinating our Masters team. His energy, positivity and kindness left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
After being diagnosed with MND, Tasso had to step back from his volunteer roles and, when he was able, would quietly come along to support and watch games. While not widely known across the club in recent years, his connection through Adam and his early contribution remain a special part of our story.
Tasso’s illness inspired Adam to lead important fundraising efforts for MND, including the creation of our own MND Round — a tradition that will carry deep meaning for our club in the years ahead.
Our heartfelt condolences go to Pauline, Adam and their family. Tasso will always be part of the Bombers family, and his legacy will live on through Adam and the impact he made at North Shore.
