If you’re looking for a footy hit with spice and bite, forget the abomination in Perth last night. The Battle of the Bridge – the Harbour Bridge – is where it’s at.
It’s a crunch game at Henson Park tomorrow, and we’re ready to play. It’s the clash that AFL Sydney has been waiting for.
So far in Mens Premier Division, it’s been the perfect start to the season. Four games for four wins, all by over 100 points, and conceding only eight goals. We need a test. And we’ll get one tomorrow.
Uni NSW-Eastern Suburbs have won the last two premierships. They’re a strong team. But we were the only team to beat them last year. And we’ve got the talent, and the form on the board, to do it again.
But it’s not just the Mens Seniors that get to renew our rivalry with the Bulldogs. Mens Reserves, Thirds and Under 19s Div One will also be taking them on at Henson; while Womens Seniors will have our first clash against them at Premier Division level at David Phillips.
Meanwhile we have a program of five home games at Gore Hill Oval. Mens Fifths, both Womens Div 3 teams, Womens Thirds and Under 19s Div 2 will have the home ground advantage for some important games that could well shape our finals destiny.
Mens Fourths hit the road to Weldon for a morning clash against Manly, where Cam Pugh will put on the North Shore strip for the 100th time. And Womens Reserves are off to Pioneers Park to take on Randwick City.
It’s a massive day of footy. Give it your best shot and play some great footy. Wins tomorrow are wins to be celebrated, so here’s hoping we hear the song many times!!
