Season Update.
Now we really have a date!!
After the announcements about community sport in NSW today, AFL NSW/ACT confirmed in a meeting tonight that round is being scheduled for the weekend of the 17th of July. (Most likely game day Saturday 18th).
It’s also been reconfirmed that there will be 9 home and away games (except for competitions with byes) and a full finals series finishing on the weekend of October the 10th.
There are still details to be worked out and it’s subject to continued progress with Covid-19, as everything is, but that’s fantastic news.
While I’m on great news, I’d like to thank and congratulate all of those people who have continued to pay their registration payments, even though up to now we haven’t known for sure that we were going to have a season.
We still have some work to do on our finances and also to get an equitable outcome on rego, but it’s genuinely heartening to know that we have that many quality people at our club. Well done and again, thank you.
So barring an unexpected turn of events, season 2020 is going to happen and it’s going to be great!!
