The Masters competition gets under way on Saturday 4th May. Our first game is on that date at Gore Hill Oval from 6:30pm against Inner West Magpies (formerly Wests).
Masters footy is a men’s over 35s competition; slightly modified. Matches will be played every 2-3 weeks. For the first time, we’re planning to put a North Shore team on the field.
The playing rules are essentially the standard ones, but teams are allowed up to 9 players on the bench, which could be handy given quarters are set to run for 18 minutes.!!
Each team can have up to 6 players aged 35 – 39 on their team sheets and there is no restriction on the number of players 40 and older.
