Congratulations to North Shore’s Josh Rayner, who has been selected in the Allies squad for the upcoming National Under 18s Championships.
The Allies squad brings together the best young talent from NSW, ACT, Queensland and Tasmania; into a tournament where the AFL’s talent scouts will be looking on with interest looking for the next generation of superstars.
Josh’s selection is particularly meritorious as he is an Under 17s player, still too young for this year’s draft; but is a sign of his remarkable footballing progress.
As well as playing for our Under 19s as often as his representative commitments allow it, Josh is also a member of the Swans Academy program, and will be playing for the Swans reserves in the NEAFL on Friday night.
The National Championships start over the June long weekend; the first game being on June 9 against Vic Country at Spotless Stadium.
Good luck Josh. Ready to impress!!
