It’s another big weekend of footy, and we’re fit and ready to go. Despite rain washing a couple of our away fixtures out, we’ve got nine North Shore teams to take the field on Saturday; six at Gore Hill and three on the road.
Team selections are now up on Team App and the website. Congratulations to everyone who has been given the honour of wearing the North Shore guernsey this week. Wear it with pride and play some great footy in the right spirit. That’s all we’ll ever ask.
This week we have Michael Goode playing his 200th game. Coming into the club as a junior, he’s worked his way through the ranks to be an established player in our Reserves; and he’ll be happy that his milestone game came at his beloved Gore Hill Oval. Frequently rolling up his sleeves to volunteer around the club as well as play; he’s a great club person and deserves the honour of a big milestone celebration.
As we’ve mentioned before, this club relies heavily on volunteers to get numerous tasks done on game day. Most of them aren’t tremendously complicated, but they need to be done to make the day go smoothly. If it’s your turn for duties this week, please come along and cheerfully perform your tasks. It’s those that put the most effort into this club that get the most out of it.
