It is with much sadness that we must inform the club of the passing of Ben Hickey.
Ben represented North Shore for several years, and will be remembered by his team-mates as a dedicated club man, who was always willing to do the team things. He was a member of our Reserves (or Division Two as it was then known) Grand Final team in 2016. In 2017 he played several games for both our Division Two and Division Three teams, but unfortunately was unable to play in either of our premiership-winning Grand Final teams that year. But he played on, racking up the frequent traveller miles in 2018 when Gore Hill was being rebuilt and our home games were spread far and wide.
Ben was known around North Shore as a good bloke who loved his footy and will be sorely missed by his team-mates.
His memorial service will be held next Friday 15th December at Sacred Heart Wodonga at 12:30pm.
