A major milestone for a legend of our club will be brought up on Saturday when Dale Fitzgerald pulls on the North Shore jumper for the 200th time.

Dale has been at North Shore for many years, and played a prominent role in our last Premier Division flag in 2007. A key defender, he’s stood up against some great opposition forwards over the years and come out on top more often than not.

Dale is North Shore royalty. His father Alan was a premiership player. His mother Liz is the club secretary. Brother Brendan is a former player. And in a couple of decades time, we may see the next Fitzgerald generation come through the club.

On the field, Dale has plenty of credits to his name. Off the field, Dale has been a hard-working enthusiastic volunteer when there’s a job to be done; and a well-respected clubman who shows the club spirit of North Shore every time he comes to Gore Hill.

Congratulations on 200 games Dale. Here’s to many more to come!!
