The growth in women’s footy in recent years has been nothing short of remarkable; and North Shore has led the way in giving more women the opportunity to play our game than ever before.
Since fielding a women’s team for the first time in 2017, the club has seen a growth in numbers every year. From one team in 2017 to two teams in 2018, three teams last year and five in 2020; when not even the covid-19 pandemic has stopped the growth in numbers of women playing for North Shore.
Our growth is also reflected in being promoted to Premier Division for 2020; and we have a team that is capable of matching it with the best women’s teams in Sydney.
Our long-awaited season is finally about to get under way; and North Shore is excited to announce the team captains for the season ahead.
