After a wet week, the sun emerged for a Saturday of footy. Gore Hill was open and pumping for Ladies Day. But ground closures at Macquarie Uni and St George saw matches for Mens Division Two, Womens Divisions Two & Three plus Under 19.5s Division Two called off.
It was a clean sweep at Gore Hill, with all five games resulting in comfortable North Shore wins. But not so good on the road, with both Mens Division Five and Womens Under 20s going down in their matches.
The league takes a week off over the June long weekend, with the next round of matches scheduled for the weekend of 13th-14th June.

MENS
Five unanswered goals in the first quarter set the platform for a flying start for the Bombers, and from there the match against the Bats was never under threat. The Bombers won every quarter, going on to record a comfortable 59-point win. Pat Bolger landed five goals, while Nick Pavlou and Cooper Donald were again in the thick of the action. Next game will see the Bombers travel to Campbelltown to play off for top spot.
Division Three, playing in the early game at Gore Hill, reversed the result from Mike Kenny earlier in the season with a 32-point win. After an even first quarter, the Bombers took the upper hand in the second quarter and were never threatened from there. Luke Macauley, Charlie Lovegrove and Conor Fahy were superb as the Bombers flexed their muscle to record their third win on the trot.
Despite a wet week, the Division Five game against Balmain at Rozelle Parklands went ahead. A slow start cost the Bombers, as they were only able to score one goal in the first half. The Bombers won the third quarter to give themselves an outside chance; but the Tigers landed five goals in the final quarter to put the game away. Harrison Davis, Jack Fox and Dom Allen battled hard, but the result didn’t go our way.
Under 19.5s Division One barely raised a sweat in a comfortable 39-point win over UTS. The margin could have been greater but for some missed shots at goal that could have gone through; but the Bombers always looked to have control of the game. Mitch Dettman scored four goals; while Harry Layet, Hamish Gilligan and Charlie Barwick were influential around the ground in a solid Bomber win.

WOMENS
Premier Division returned to the winning list in style, maintaining a clean sheet in a 98-0 win over UTS at Gore Hill. The Bombers were in complete control throughout the game, and the Bats never looked a chance to threaten the Bats or even to get on the scoreboard. Sophie Kavanagh, Zoe Hurrell and Liv O’Donnell were superb in a comprehensive North Shore display that saw the Bombers move up the ladder.
Division One were in action in the late game at Gore Hill against defending premiers Randwick City. The Bombers hit the ground running, not conceding a goal until nearly half time, and by then had built up a handy lead. Ellie Shefts contributed five goals in a best-on-ground performance, while Marlee Barnet-Hepples and Lucy Forrest also featured prominently in an impressive Bombers performance.
Weldon Oval was a heavy track for the Under 20s clash against Manly. The Bombers defended resolutely, but were unable to score until the final quarter. Eloise Stewart, Bec Fagg and Heidi Charles kept the work-rate going all morning; but the Bombers weren’t able to generate enough scoreboard pressure to trouble the Wolves.
