Three of our teams were in action on the penultimate weekend of the season.
Our first Grand Final was played on Sunday morning as Under 19.5s Division Two played their premiership decider. Unfortunately that result didn’t go our way.
Before that on Saturday, we had two Preliminary Finals. Mens Division One got comfortably through to their Grand Final; but it was heartbreak for Under 19.5s Division One as their season came to an end.
This coming weekend we have four teams in Grand Final action. Both our Premier Division teams plus Mens Division One will play on Saturday; while Mens Division Four are on Sunday.

GRAND FINAL
An early start on Sunday morning for Under 19.5s Division Two as they played their premiership decider. Tom Davies scored early for the Bombers; but it wasn’t going well around the ground and the Bombers fell behind on the scoreboard as the game went on. Two quick goals before half time cut the margin at the long break to 33 points; but the Bombers were unable to score a goal in the second half. James Pocknee, Conall Molloy and Jensen Brownlaw battled hard; but the dream of premiership glory was destined not to be.

PRELIMINARY FINALS
Division One are through to the Grand Final after getting the job done over Sydney Uni in the Preliminary Final at Bruce Purser on Saturday. There wasn’t much in it in the first quarter, with the Students squandering chances which gave the Bombers the edge. In the second and third quarters, the Bombers took the upper hand with three goals to one in the second and five goals to one in the third. The Bombers put the cue in the rack in the second half of the last quarter; but by then the game was safely won. Nick Robinson landed four goals; while Harry Edwards, Kieran Fulton and Luke Robertson were prominent performers around the ground.
It was an arm-wrestle for most of the first three quarters in the Under 19.5s Division One Preliminary Final. Manly were missing chances, while the Bombers were working hard to keep in the contest and there wasn’t much in it. But three goals to the Wolves in time-on in the third quarter was the decisive break; and there was no way back for the Bombers in the final term. Blake Rundell, Hugo Brasher and Harry Jones never stopped putting the effort in; but it was a disappointing morning for the Bombers as they fell one game short of a Grand Final appearance.
