North Shore fielded 14 teams in 2025, and 12 of them have made the finals. An extraordinary achievement and a big reward for the hard work of so many.
Ot those finals teams, four of them were minor premiers. Mens Division One, Mens Division Four and both Under 19.5s teams topped the ladders of their respective competitions.
The last round of the regular season was a successful one for North Shore. Both Premier Division teams returned to the winning list.
A wet week resulted in some ground closures. Unfortunately for Mens Division Two and Womens Division Three, their seasons came to an end without getting to play a farewell game. Mens Division Five North-West was also canned, but they have got through to the finals. Under 19.5s Division Two won without firing a shot as Camden was unable to field a team.
Of the 11 teams that played (including the forfeit), nine of them took out victories. A great preparation for the finals to come.

MENS
Premier Division returned to the winning list in style with an 80-point win over UTS at Gore Hill. The Bombers missed opportunities early, but a six-goal second quarter gave the Bombers the upper hand and they weren’t letting go. Matt Buskariol landed four goals; while Nick Pavlou and Matt Wilson were influential around the ground. Completing the third season in a row, and fifth of the last six, in which our Seniors have been undefeated at the Goretress.
Division One were playing for top spot when they hosted Camden. The Cats scored three early goals, but the Bombers’ defence tightened and the Cats would only score one more for the day. Gradually the Bombers worked their way into the contest, drawing level at the last change and taking the lead in the final quarter to complete a 13-point win. Kieran Fulton, Simon Homsany and Luke Robertson were outstanding as the Bombers took out top spot.
Division Three were playing against Macquarie Uni for the double-chance in a late evening game at Mac Uni, but sadly fell short. The Bombers were well held in difficult conditions, and were unable to manage a goal until the final quarter. Conor Fahy, James Gibson and Sam Kelly battled tirelessly but it wasn’t our day. The Bombers will be in a sudden death semi-final next Sunday.
Division Four had already wrapped up the minor premiership before the final round; and had an early start this weekend with a Friday night game against Pennant Hills at Macquarie Uni. It wasn’t the easiest of conditions, but the Bombers made a strong start and there was no way for the Demons to get back into the contest as the Bombers won every quarter to win by 56 points. Mackinley Mitchell, Tom Gorman and Sam Nicholl were solid for the Bombers, who now get a week off and go straight through to the Major Semi-Final.
Division Five City-South were playing the late game, the last game at the Goretress for 2025. Taking on South-West Sydney, there was only 11 points in it at the long break. But three unanswered goals to the Blues in the third term putt the game out of the Bombers’ reach. Xavier Lynch, Billy Elsum and Will Dight battled tirelessly; but the game wasn’t going our way. But the team is through to the finals, and a re-match with South-West Sydney in the Elimination Final.
Under 19.5s Division One had few concerns in cruising to an 83-point win over UTS at Gore Hill. The Bombers were already assured of the minor premiership, but maintained the winning momentum with another dominant performance. Charlie Stephens spearheaded the charge with seven goals in a best-on-ground performance; while Henry Charles and Ethan Kingsley were in the thick of the action all day. As minor premiers, we get next week off and go straight through to the Major Semi-Final.

WOMENS
It was a dominant performance from Premier Division as they returned to the winning list in style, holding UTS to two behinds in completing a 66-point win. The first quarter was tight, but a run of five goals in the second term set up a lead the Bats were never going to make up. Lila Micheletti, Grace Hill and Grace Parsons were superb as the Bombers returned to their best on the eve of the finals.
After three weeks without taking the field, Division One had an important hit-out before the finals, doing it in style with a 45-point win over Camden. The Bombers were superb in defence, and the Cats did not score a goal until the final quarter. Zoe Milligan, Liv O’Donnell and Grace Thomas were the standouts in a strong performance as the fine-tuning for the finals was successfully completed.
The stakes were high for Division Two as they took on Manly on a very heavy ground at Weldon Oval. The winner would make the finals, the loser miss out. In a low-scoring slog, the Bombers led all day but never by much; defending grimly in a tense final quarter to hang on and ensure their season would live on for another week. Viv Leong, Lydia Holt and Emma Borkman were in fine form in a gritty win in tough conditions.
Under 20s celebrated their finals appearance in style, holding UNSW-ES goal-less to romp to a comfortable 72-point win. In a one-sided display, Ava Horneman landed four goals; while Isobel Edmunds, Keona Galea and Willow Orsini were collecting possessions at will. A comprehensive display for our young Bombers, as they fine-tuned their preparations for next week’s Major Semi-Final against Manly.
