On Saturday we had 13 teams scheduled to play. Unfortunately two of our teams never got to fire a shot in anger, as St George in Under 19.5s Division Two and Inner West in Womens Division Two forfeited.
Including the two forfeit wins, 10 of our teams took out the chocolates, including a clean sweep at the Goretress. Mens and Womens Seniors enjoyed big wins against St George, further enhancing our ladder position. North Shore is likely to be well represented in this year’s finals.

MENS
Even with several key absences, Premier Division had few concerns in getting past St George at Gore Hill. Tom Gillis stepped up at full forward with a bag of seven goals; while Tom Drum and Jake Veale were everywhere around the ground. The Bombers extended their lead in every quarter, and the Dragons never looked like getting back into the contest as the Bombers cruised to a 57-point win.
Division One returned to the winning list in style, dominating from start to finish to record a 93-point win against St George. The goals kept coming, each quarter producing more goals than the last, as the Bombers put the Dragons to the sword. Nick Hill landed five goals and Max Thomas four; while Taylor Zeeman, James Larkey and Ozzie Warmbrunn were ball magnets around the ground.
It was another tricky game for Division Two, up at Bruce Purser against East Coast’s reserves. The Bombers were unable to score in the first quarter, and never looked like making up the deficit on the scoreboard. Toby Bartrop, Joe Maguire and Tyson McCallum never stopped putting the effort in; but it wasn’t enough to get back into the game and the Bombers went down by 37 points.
Division Three were in an evening game under lights against Pennant Hills at Mike Kenny, and found the conditions not to their liking as they suffered their second loss in a row by 22 points; but retain top spot on the ladder. In a low-scoring contest, the Bombers were unable to find the goals needed to stay on top of the contest; despite some good work around the ground by Luke Macauley, Tyson McCallum (backing up from the game at Bruce Purser earlier in the day) and Michael Read.
Division Four had the alarm clocks set super-early to do the long drive to Hannaford Oval for a clash with Wollondilly. But the Bombers were wide awake and the game was no contest, as the Knights were kept scoreless as the Bombers powered to a 100-point win. Jackson Capp spearheaded the charge with nine goals; while Jack Watkins and Sam Nicholl were unstoppable around the ground. The Bombers remain unbeaten in 2025 in Division Four after another impressive performance.
Division Five North-West continue on their winning ways with a 19-point win over East Coast at Bruce Purser. Leading at every change, the Bombers were able to come up with the goals when it mattered to shut down any chances of the Eagles getting back into the contest. Gus Stone-Heesh, Cameron Honey and Rob Black were in the thick of the action as the Bombers were once again the stronger side to keep their impressive mid-season run going.
Under 19.5s Division One barely raised a sweat in completing a 78-point win over St George at Gore Hill. Six unanswered goals set the tone for the day, with the Dragons unable to register a major score until the last quarter. Sam Jackson was again unstoppable up forward to finish with five goals; while Henry Charles, Blake Rundell and Nathan D’Silva were picking up the ball at will. Another impressive performance from our young Bombers, who are building up to some impressive form as the finals draw closer.

WOMENS
Another triumphant Premier Division display saw the Bombers complete a 138-point win over St George at Gore Hill. It was the sixth time this season the Bombers have held their opponent to a score of zero or one, a major factor behind their super-impressive percentage. Adrienne Keeffe landed six goals and Cassidy McArthur four; while Charli Tidemann and Grace Hill were in everything around the ground. Anther lopsided display from the Bombers, who have been playing some seriously impressive footy in recent weeks.
Division One also had an impressive performance as they won their third game on the trot, an 86-point win over Newtown in the late game at Gore Hill. The Bombers got on top early, holding the Breakaways to a single goal in the first half while landing nine themselves, setting up a lead from which there was no way back for Newtown. Marlee Barnet-Hepples contributed four goals to the cause; while Liv O’Donnell and Shannon Smit were in the thick of the action all night in an impressive Bomber display.
It was a tough assignment for Division Three, as they were up early for the long drive to Hannaford Oval to play Wollondilly. Although they didn’t win, it was another superb defensive effort to hold one of the division’s strongest teams to four goals. Uma van Egmond-Jones, Lucy Rowse and Megan Soutter played strong games as our Fourth grade team took it up to one of the division’s front-runners and put them under plenty of pressure all game.
Under 20s were playing at Trumper Park for the second time in three weeks, but this time it was clear from the early exchanges that the Bombers were on top and a big win was coming. The defence held firm all day, and the Bats were unable to score a goal; as the Bombers turned on their most dominant performance of the season to win by a whopping 93 points. Elizabeth Yates, Ava Thomas and Cameron Gurry were superb as the Bombers powered their way to second on the ladder.
