Depressed or Anxious? You don’t have to suffer alone

Some of you will have heard about the tragic passing recently of a young man who, although he never played for North Shore, was an extended member of our North Shore community.

Our collective thoughts are with his family and friends and I’m sure that those of you who know them will join us in reaching out

More than 3 million Australians suffer from depression and anxiety. Dealing with it is a strength and there are a variety of people who are more than willing to listen.

If you’re feeling worried, going through a rough patch or just need to talk, please know that supporting you is one of the most important things we can do. So please talk us, or you mates. Or call Beyond Blue on 1300 22-4636 or Lifeline on 13-11-14 at any time.

If you would like more information, please visit www.beyondblue.org.au or www.lifeline.org.au

Also if you’re worried about a friend, colleague, family member or team mate and you think they may need help then please call Lifeline or Beyond Blue to ask how you can best support your mate.

And if someone reaches out to you, be a listening ear. To know that someone cares can make a real difference.
