AFLX is here. It’s the new high-octane form of footy; 10 minute halves, 10 a side with 7 on the field, a smaller ground and constant non-stop action.
It’s coming to Sydney on Saturday 17th February; and North Shore are there, front and centre.
North Shore has been selected to play in a Community Football AFLX tournament at Centennial Parklands, on Robertson Road at Moore Park. Across the road from Fox Studios.
It’s a chance to check out the new form of our game, and the first hit-out for the new season.
Our schedule for the day is:
11:58am v Sydney Uni
12:54pm v UNSW-ES
1:22pm v Pennant Hills
And if we make the final, we have a short walk to the Sydney Football Stadium; where the final will be played at 3pm as the curtain-raiser to the AFLX tournament. And stick around to see the Giants, Swans, Richmond, Bulldogs, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
We’d love to see some North Shore support on the sideline. Parking in that area is limited, so if you’re not playing or don’t have a heavy bag to carry we suggest public transport.
Come along and be a part of footy history as we pioneer a new version of footy.
